Dr.Marshall Goldberg is a Fraud

Lederma or California Dermatology or what ever they call themselves now, is ripping people off. First they get you by telling you that all procedures are covered by your insurance, then next thing you know, you get a large bill. Most of the procedures are three times more expensive than other dermatology places. At every visit they told me "all you have to pay is your Co payment and the rest is covered and if its not covered by your insurance we will take care of it". I initially went to Lederma for acne treatments next thing I know they removed two moles. When I asked why, Brian (PA) told me they looked suspicious. The best part, I never got to see Dr. Goldberg, every visit was with Brian a physician's assistant and Sharon (PA). I am currently seeking legal action if any one else has been violated by Dr. Goldberg or associates please contact me.

  1. I was also a victim of this scam. I had 4 visits for acne and ended up with a $2.5K bill months later.

  3. I too am a victim. They made the same promises that insurance would cover the treatment and when insurance wanted backup they would not give it to them. I am facing 3000.00 in collections for a 200.00 treatment that they will gladly tell you it costs if you call them today. I am ready to sue them.

  6. This is a nightmare for my daughter who has been through the same thing. I have spoke with so many people in their office, one of which started yelling at me. They keep billing us for items that have already been paid. My insurance company tried to speak with them and they refused to talk with the insurance company who was trying to resolve the bill. These people need to be reported and sued. This has been going on for approx 3 years... If anyone reads this please DO NOT go to them for services!!! You will regret it!

  7. I too was a victim of this fraudulent dermatolgy office 2 years ago. I was hoping someone would finally stand up and fight this company. Obviously there are many victims out there! How can I get involved with this? I saved all my ridiculous bills that were sent to me.

  10. I, too, am a victim who has just surfaced as did several "suspicious moles". I went in to the Beverly Hills office for a pimple on my left cheek (which is still there 6 months later) and to inquire about laser for some keloid scarring I have. "Dr." Brian prescribed some kind of cream for my cheek and asked if anyone had looked at my suspicious looking at moles. He removed 5 of them which to me all looked like freckles. I stopped him when he went for one on my shoulder which I could clearly see up close was only a freckle. The laser machine was never working (they were waiting for a part for all the times I visited). I am still left with the pimple and a huge keloid scar on my stomach from the removal of a small freckle - not to mention the huge bill ($3,000.00) which I was told this morning would increase by 20% when it is sent to collection.

  11. You can add me to this list! I went to their office in Corona to get a mole removed. 4 visits later, they tried to bill me for close to $10k!! They did send me to collections to try to collect the balance, but by law they are required to PROVE that the debt is owed. I was never given an estimate of any charges in excess of my insurance company payments and never agreed to being reemed by them. I sent a dispute letter to the collections company (twice as they tried to slip a second claim by me) via certified mail on the advice of an attorney. If you do this within 30 days of being notified, the ball is back in their court to provide some sort of proof the debt is owed. It's been almost 3 months now and I'm keepng my fingers crossed. I will never pay them - they suck!!!!

  12. I know this sounds like a random question, but can anyone tell me if LeDerma had any skincare products at their offices (or know if they sell products) branded LeDerma?
    Thanks.

  14. I know this company and they are corrupt. The employees that you all dealt with were also duped. They used unsuspecting employees to do the dirty work of their employers unknowingly. They were told what they thought was the truth to tell you. They had no knowledge that the company would turn to unscrupulous deeds. Do not pay the company. The medical board is doing an investigation. Please be advised that Dr. Goldberg was just an employee as well. His credentials were used by this evil corporation to take the fall for their wicked intent. I understand that this company who is responsible for all this corruption has changed it's name to American Dermatology so beware. The employees named above are innocent and very sorrowful. The guilty parties are Dr. Glen Ledesma and his partner Jonathan Ledesma who owned operated and profited from this evil scam.
